For too long Nigerians had lived on the proceeds of crude oil export, Agricultural products, important duties and other means of generating revenue. But, revenue generated from these sectors are gradually failing everyday while our population continues to grow at about three per cent per annum.
Despite all the challenges in the country we must learn to rise above and appear winners in this struggle and prove to the country that we are not the lazy youths they think we are.
What should keep us moving forward in 2018 is the hope that we can still change the future from the many petty traders, and small and medium scale entrepreneurs to the entertainers fashion designers and on air personalities you see working towards a better a better Nigeria down to every young Nigerian youth with a goal to develop himself and promote the development of the nation.
I know that for some ( alright a huge majority of the population ) fashion and beauty is not something they see making a 'huge' impact on helping to make a critical future of the country. But please let me remind all those who doubt that changing our everyday lifestyle will help that fashion and entertainment industry, follow other seconds that help promote national development, that it doesn't matter whether you are a hair stylist or a clerk at a bank or a traditional fashion designer. The point is we all have to work as one on order to guarantee the actualization of a better Nigeria.
Nigeria's cast and cultural heritage should be strategically repositioned to partner tourism as its driver to lift the Nigeria economy. Tourism cannot effectively flourish without the presentation of the cultural components.
As the giant of Africa it is our duty to help preserve our culture in all the various ways we can. Because if we don't preserve it eventually will become extinct and irrelevant among other African cultures and one way to preserve these culture is through their various forms of entertainment, lifestyle and fashion so YES, choosing to promote the entertainment, fashion and lifestyle alongside other economic branches of the nation, by promoting our locally made traditional pieces which collectively will make a HUGE difference or how we individually will impact the society and it starts with motivation one another to start opening up about ourselves, where we come from and then embracing our beautiful African culture and ways of life.
Mainly I want you to know that you can make a difference today. Let us all make a huge leap towards saving our culture that that we don't want to admit is already starting to die.
