Facial Calligraphy is now a trending fashion that is now trending in most Nigerian Tertiary Institutions whereby students cultivate the habit of painting their faces in every events.

It's aesthetic,is explicitly visual to anyone who see it can add colour and succour to any event.However as new as it is to most Nigerian youths there are some things you might not be aware of facial or calligraphy.

Some of these things include ;

- It is time consuming.

- It is a good disguise.

- It can be easily washed off.

- It is associated with Chinese culture.

- Every designs communicates a meaning.

1. Time consuming: Designing fashion calligraphy is time consuming as it requires optimum carefulness and strategic handling of the stick brush.The artist is not designing a canvass rather is on the (facial skin).

That is why carefulness is required so that you don't damage or injure one face.It is this carefulness that pushes the artist to take a lot of time in designing the calligraphy.

2. Good disguise: One would have a perfect disguise with facial Calligraphy whereby the person behind the disguise will put on a good look that suit his dressing and the event. However,unlike makeup,facial calligraphy makes it obvious for you not to recognise the person behind the disguise irrespective of the pattern of designs of the calligraphy.

This is one of the unique thing and possibly and phantom thing about art itself.

3. It can be easily washed off: The good news of facial calligraphy is that it can be easily erased whenever you wished to take it off. This is why people venture into designing their faces anyhow they wish because they behave they can take it off any time they feel like.

However,the reverse would have been different if at all the facial calligraphy design is permanent like people would have been scared to put on the designs.

4. Chinese culture: In the history of China,calligraphy traced its roots in China specifically the Wu Tang Dynasty. To mark its celebration people would design different styles of calligraphy; dragon,lion,eagle,monkey. Today this same culture has spread all over the world including University campuses.

5. Every design communicates a meaning: Designs convey information to people about particular peoples' behaviours,culture and events. Like in the Chinese culture where people designs different patterns to potray or communicate an idea,so it is presently. Some calligraphy designed to the face may carned the ideas of happiness,sadiness,love,hatred,comic and tragic.
